Biography
Kristie Powell is CEO and Co-Founder of Coral, a software development startup transforming the B2B market in the Caribbean. Kristie is also Technical Advisor to the Government of The
Bahamas in the Office of The Prime Minister and responsible for digital transformation.
Prior, Kristie was a Senior Technical Solutions Consultant at Google Inc in New York City. She joined Google in 2014 and was responsible for providing technical solutions to key partners in
advertising. Kristie began her career at Goldman Sachs in 2008 as an Analyst in the Technology Division and developing technology solutions.
Kristie serves on the Board of Trustees for the University of the Bahamas, Board of Directors of the Small Business Development Center and Vice Chairman of the Technology Steering
Committee in The Bahamas. Kristie serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Ionic 6, Inc., a STEM nonprofit in New York City and Board of Trustees of the Jersey City Free Public Library.
Kristie was a keynote speaker at the United Nations and several Business Outlooks in the Bahamas on the future of technology. She led a Digital Marketing Workshop on behalf of
Google at the 2017 Haiti Tech Summit and 2018 Bahamas Technology Summit. Kristie was selected to represent The Bahamas to pitch to the Duke of York at Pitch@Palace for the
Commonwealth.
Kristie earned a Master’s of Science in Electrical Engineering in 2008 and Bachelor’s of Science in a Electrical Engineering in 2007 from Florida Institute of Technology.
