About SOTIC 2023

The CTO State of the Tourism Industry Conference (SOTIC) is the Caribbean’s premier forum for the presentation and exploration of the major issues impacting the development of the sector in the region.  Tourism continues to cement its position as the main driver of economies across the region, and the SOTIC gathers regional and international experts, thought leaders, decision-makers and influencers to focus on the next steps needed to be taken for the region to remain competitive and grow sustainably.

SOTIC provides the platform for tourism leaders from government and private sectors from across the region and beyond to network, assess and brainstorm innovative opportunities to move the sector forward.

The event facilitates stakeholder engagement for leaders in Caribbean tourism, professional development through expert presentations and panels, and business development networking.

The conference is attended by key regional government decision makers including Ministers and Commissioners of tourism and other related ministries, Directors and CEOs of Tourism Authorities, Boards and Destination Marketing Organizations, as well as regional and international representatives from funding institutions, airlines, cruise lines,  hotel, property development, academia, the media and more.

About The Turks and Caicos Islands

Turks and Caicos consists of two group of islands in the Lucayan Archipelago: The Larger Caicos Islands and the smaller Turks islands, thus the name.  Home to the best beaches in the world, including the world renown Grace Bay Beach, with majestic white sand and crystal-clear turquoise waters. Each island and cay is a destination on its own. Providenciales is the home to world renowned Grace Bay Beach, luxury hotels, resorts, villas, spas and restaurants and Grand Turk is home, away from home for our cruise passengers.  Considered the world’s best kept secret, the TCI are an easy escape – with an ease of connectivity from Charlotte, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, New York, Washington DC, Toronto and London.
