Marie McKenzie has more than 21 years of experience working at Carnival Corporation. In her current role as vice president, Global Ports and Caribbean Government Relations, she represents the Carnival Corporation group of brands in engagement opportunities with government, regional and local community organizations.
Prior to this role, McKenzie lead a team of brand experts as a vice president coordinating and managing the sourcing processes and relationships with tour operators and port services officials in the over 720 ports Carnival calls on around the globe. She also served as vice president of Global Financial Planning and Analysis, where she positioned the overall strategy and financial direction of the company while engaging all 10 brands to prepare the company’s executive team for quarterly earnings guidance. In addition, she managed the process of capturing, consolidating and analyzing data as well as leading the corporation’s annual budget and planning process that is key to the execution of the company’s overall long-term strategy. Before joining the corporate team, McKenzie worked various roles at Carnival Cruise Lines including her first appointment to a vice president role leading financial operations onboard their 22 ship fleet.
McKenzie began her career in 1992 with Arthur Andersen LLP in Washington, D.C. Originally from Jamaica, West Indies, she earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Howard University and a master’s degree in international business from Florida International University.
McKenzie serves on the board of directors for Honey Shine Inc. and also recently served on the board of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida.
