Born in Salisbury, UK, Bob spent his childhood living on board a yacht during school holidays. After studying Engineering at the University of Cambridge, he entered local government and specialised in human resource management and industrial relations. In his late thirties he returned to his original love, the marine industry and managed the construction & repair of a wide range of sailing & motor craft.
He moved to Saint Lucia in 2004 to retire but somehow ended up creating & managing The Marina at Marigot Bay. A second attempt to retire was thwarted by his recruitment to manage the new Glossy Bay Marina, a 120 berth facility with berths for 36 superyachts up to 100m in length and 6 metres in draught.
Glossy Bay Marina is positioned directly adjacent to the Canouan Airport thus providing a unique travel experience where customers can literally walk from their plane to their yacht.
