Delivering the Luxury Experience
As wealth expands globally and middle classes emerge in populous countries, the demand for luxury travel or aspects of luxury travel will fuel the growth of this market. In fact, Oxford Economics predicts that over the next 10 years the growth rate in outbound luxury trips is projected at 6.2%, almost a third greater than overall travel (4.8%).
However, this segment of the industry is also entering a phase in which they want more meaningful, authentic, personalized and exclusive travel experiences to define them as opposed to materials possessions only.
